Commencement Ceremony

Join us as we gather to celebrate the achievements of the 10th Graduation Cohort of NU SSH.

The commencement ceremony will feature inspiring speeches, special performances, and the awarding of diplomas. It's a time-honored tradition that marks the transition from student to graduate.

Awards:
PhD, Masters, and Undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Political Science, International Relations, and World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures majors.

Morning ceremony

Awards:

Undergraduate degrees in Anthropology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Physics, Sociology, History, and Economics majors.

Afternoon ceremony

Rules for graduates

Nothing should be in your hands except for your names. During the diploma awarding, your seats most probably will change and you will lose your belongings.
On the stage, limited talking to the Dean or any of the faculty. We need to go faster as we have many students. However, have your moment, take a picture.
Go to bathroom beforehand. You cannot leave the Main Hall before the ceremony ends. All the doors will be closed.
Always follow the staff and volunteers.
No dangerous tricks on the stage.
Applaud and cheer your peers when they are on the stage. Overall, be cheerful for others too.
Not recommended to wear high heels as the floor can be slippery.
The air conditioning will be turned on, so wear warmer clothes underneath your regalia

Guests info and rules

No children under 12
No running to the stage during the ceremony. Front 3 sections will be closed for the guests
4 doors will be open. 2 from the upper atrium side and 2 on the balcony from two sides. Second balcony will be closed for safety measures.
Extra guests should not come. There will be a live translation on Youtube.
If the guests will be seated on the balcony, please, tell them to avoid the edges.
