Biography
Dr. Suleimenova joined the Chemistry Department at the School of Sciences and Humanities in August 2025 as an Instructor. Previously, she worked at the same department as a Teaching Assistant from 2013 to 2017.
Dr. Suleimenova obtained her triple-diploma Erasmus master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, and Engineering from the Paris-Saclay University, France; the University of Genoa, Italy and the University of Porto, Portugal in 2017. In 2024, she received her PhD degree in Bioengineering from the University of NOVA Lisbon, Portugal, within the MIT Portugal program. Her research focused on the development of various nanomaterials with applications in optical and electrochemical biosensors for health applications.
Dr. Suleimenova is also a member of the European Low Gravity Association, from which she received a grant to test colorimetric biosensors in space.
