On September 14th, Nazarbayev University (NU) opened its doors for the annual Open House Day, welcoming a large number of visitors eager to learn more about one of Kazakhstan’s leading educational institutions. The event took place in two locations: the main campus in Astana and the university’s office in Almaty. With around 15,000 people registering, the day saw over 7,000 prospective students and their families visit the university’s campus in Astana alone.
For the event, the School of Sciences and Humanities (SSH) hosted several sessions to welcome and acquaint the visitors. Professors from 10 different departments were available to meet with prospective students, providing insights into the diverse range of academic programs offered. This allowed attendees to explore programs of interest in more detail and ask questions directly to the faculty. In addition to academic discussions, the Writing Center held dedicated "Motivational Letter " sessions. These workshops guided students through the process of crafting an effective motivational letter, a crucial element of the NU admissions process.
Throughout the day, SSH also organized laboratory tours for those interested. Prospective students were able to witness university’s facilities and learn more about the opportunities for academic research within the school. Furthermore, individual consultations on admissions and program specifics were made available, offering a more personalized experience for visitors seeking in-depth information.
Nazarbayev University and the School of Sciences and Humanities extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and contributed to making the event a success. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of bright minds to our community and wish all prospective students the best of luck in their educational journeys!
