Nazarbayev University (NU) made a remarkable impact at the 14th American Institute
of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Conference on Dynamical Systems, Differential
Equations, and Applications, held from December 16-20, 2024 at ADNEC Centre Abu
Dhabi and hosted by New York University Abu Dhabi. The prestigious event brought
together over 1,500 participants from 60 countries, featuring seven invited plenary talks
by award-winning speakers.
NU was proudly represented by five faculty members, including Associate Professor of the department of Mathematics at SSH Ardak Kashkynbayev, and eight PhD students. Dr. Kashkynbayev played a prominent
role in the conference as a co-organizer of the session titled "Delay and Functional
Differential Equations and Applications", alongside Professor Yang Kuang (Arizona
State University) and Professor Fathalla Rihan (UAE University).
The session attracted significant attention, offering a platform to discuss the latest
theoretical advancements and practical applications of delay and functional differential
equations. Participants explored topics ranging from biological modeling to engineering
and economic systems. The session was praised for its insightful presentations and
collaborative discussions.
Dr. Kashkynbayev was accompanied by his five PhD students, who delivered
compelling presentations on topics such as synchronization analysis of neural network
systems and traveling wave solutions to rubbies models. Their research earned positive
feedback, showcasing the depth and innovation of NU’s academic training.
Nazarbayev University’s representation at the conference underscores its commitment
to fostering cutting-edge research and academic excellence. The participation of NU’s
faculty and students highlighted the university’s growing influence on the global
academic stage.
