NU Mathletes Dominate Republican Mathematical Olympiad, Clinch 1st Place Team Victory

On April 18-19, a team of outstanding mathematics majors from Nazarbayev University (NU) showcased their talent at the annual Republican Mathematical Olympiad for university students, held this year at the Astana branch of Moscow State University. The competition brought together participants from 9 universities across 4 regions of Kazakhstan, each vying for top honors in a battle of intellect and problem-solving.

NU’s team delivered a spectacular performance, winning 1st place in the team category and making an impressive sweep of the top individual awards.

Individual achievements include:

• 🥈 2nd Place: Abuzer Abuov, Dilnaz Ualiyeva, Aizhan Kenzhebayeva, Rakhim Baimurzin
