Biography
Zhannat Ashikbayeva received a PhD in Science, Engineering and Technology from Nazarbayev University (2022), MSc degree in Biochemical Engineering from University College London (2011), and Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from Kazakh British Technical University (2009). She is currently an Instructor at the Department of Chemistry, School of Sciences and Humanities, Nazarbayev University. Zhannat is as a Researcher at the Laboratory of Biosensors and Bioinstruments, PI National Laboratory Astana working on the application and development of optical fibers for the temperature monitoring during thermal ablation and for biosensing purposes. Moreover, Zhannat has an expertise in the synthesis and application of metallic nanoparticles in thermal ablation and detection of cancer biomarkers.
