The event, organized by NU in collaboration with the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling and the International Society for Analysis, its Applications and Computation (ISAAC), brought together more than 70 people - outstanding mathematical minds from 10 countries.
In his welcoming speech at the conference opening, Kazakh Vice-Minister of science and higher education Darhan Ahmed-Zaki emphasized the importance of mathematical research in the development of modern scientific and economic processes and expressed recognition of mathematical scientists for their contribution to the development of science.
"This conference covers areas that constitute the core legacy of modern mathematics and serves as a platform for exchanging ideas, collaboration, and publications for future developments in this dynamic field. The invaluable contribution of Kazakhstani and foreign outstanding scientists to the development of mathematics is worth celebrating today," said the Vice-Minister.

NU Vice President Darkhan Bilyalov welcomed all participants, noting that this conference is a precursor to the XV ISAAC Congress - a significant large-scale event for the scientific community, which will be held for the first time by NU in July 2025. "NU's entry into the top 30% of the best research universities in the authoritative Times Higher Education ranking not only contributes to the development of research but also gives additional responsibility to strengthen international cooperation", - emphasized the NU Vice-President.
During four days of the conference, about 40 Kazakhstani and foreign scientists, among them such leading mathematicians, professors as Oleg Besov (Steklov Institute of Mathematics), Alexey Shadrin (University of Cambridge), Baosyan Wang (Peking University), Vladimir Temlyakov (University of South Carolina), Arran Fernandez (Eastern Mediterranean University), Durvudkhan Suragan (Nazarbayev University), Dauren Bazarkhanov (Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling) and others, presented their reports on different aspects of mathematical science development.
