A research grant from the Leakey Foundation has been awarded to Dr. Abay Namen, who is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Within his research grant, an interdisciplinary team comprising scholars from the National Museum of Kazakhstan, New York University, University of Tübingen, and Yale University is committed to investigating hominin adaptations to climatic instabilities in mid-altitude regions of the northern Tian Shan piedmonts during the Late Pleistocene.
Our school congratulates Dr. Namen on his grant and we are happy to see that our faculty is dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding in the fields of social sciences and humanities!
