The School of Sciences and Humanities at Nazarbayev University is delighted to welcome a group of students from Tsinghua University, Beijing, for a unique Cultural Immersion Program. Over the next two weeks, these students will be immersed in an enriching academic and cultural experience designed to deepen their understanding of Eurasian dynamics.
Led by esteemed professors of the School of Sciences and Humanities, the program offers specialized courses focusing on Eurasian history, culture, and contemporary issues. Some of which include topics of international trade in the region, the archeological studies and introduction to comparative history. These courses are set to spark lively discussions and foster intellectual exploration among the visiting students.
While their journey has just begun, the Tsinghua students are eager to explore both the campus and the city of Astana, Kazakhstan's vibrant capital. They will get to enjoy an extensive tour of NU’s modern facilities, getting a firsthand look at our cutting-edge academic environment and student life. Not only that but they will also get to explore our capital Astana and unveil its architecture.
Beyond academic pursuits, the program emphasizes cultural engagement through a series of upcoming events and activities. The student clubs, such as the Mandarin club, have shown initiatives to welcome and engage with students from Tsinghua university, and build a bridge between the students of both universities. These initiatives are designed to promote interaction and collaboration between Tsinghua and Nazarbayev University students, fostering new friendships and deepening cross-cultural understanding.
